Vice President receives UK Ambassador on ending duty in Yemen
[28/07/2021 07:04]

RIYADH - SABA
Vice President Ali Mohsen Saleh received Wednesday UK Ambassador to Yemen Michel Aron on ending his duty in Yemen.
He expressed appreciation to efforts exerted by the ambassador during his duty as ambassador to Yemen, hoping him success in his future duties.

He praised mutual relations between Yemen and the UK and the British role supporting the legitimacy in Yemen and Yemeni people.

He touched upon field and political developments and the legitimacy's flexibility in dealing with UN efforts for realizing peace and reaching an inclusive political solution while Houthi militia- with support from Iran- adopted violent policy and terrorism and continuous military escalation on Yemen and Saudi Arabia.

Vice President confirmed that the responsibility of the international community has become double towards Houthi stubbornness and to exert pressure on this rebel militia to resort to peace for ending suffering of Yemeni people and solving Safir Tanker Issue, which has become another political paper to blackmail the world, neglecting catastrophic results on Yemen and the marine environment.

He confirmed keenness of the political leadership under president Hadi for finalizing Riyadh Agreement and working on alleviating suffering of Yemeni people over Houthi militia's triggered war and keenness of the legitimacy on unifying all national fronts opposing Houthi militia's agenda.

He pointed out that the militia utilized Stockholm Agreement badly and made it as a frame to secure itself with UN cover to escalate on Marib against displaced people, who are victims of the terrorist militia.

For his part, the British ambassador expressed thanks for facilitating his duty in Yemen, praising efforts and cooperation of the government of Yemen for realizing peace and its positive dealing with different efforts for this purpose.
