Prime Minister Salem Saleh bin Braik arrived Wednesday in the Emirati capital Abu Dhabi on an official visit in response to an invitation from the leadership of the sisterly United Arab Emirates.

Yemen's Vice President Lt. Gen. Ali Mohsen Saleh, received a cable of thanks from Vice Adm. Brad Cooper, commander of U.S.
Naval Forces Central Command/5th Fleet/Combined Maritime Forces in which he expressed his appreciation for the efforts of mutual cooperation and coordination to enhance water security and protect maritime navigation.
Cooper appreciated the meeting he had at the end of June with the Vice President to discuss cooperation between the US naval forces and the Yemeni navy and coast guard.
In the meeting the Vice President affirmed Yemen's commitment to the strategic partnership that would prevent smuggling and secure international shipping lines.
