Minister al-Sharjabi discusses with Dutch ambassador water cooperation

Minister of Water and Environment Tawfeeq al-Sharjabi discussed Monday with Dutch Ambassador to Yemen Peter Derkhove means of boosting cooperation in field of water and sanitation.
In the meeting held through visual communications technology, al-Sharjabi listened to a review from the ambassador on Dutch interventions in field of water due to scarcity of water in the country.
He pointed out to significance of Dutch programs for supporting the integrated management's measures to water resources in Yemen, including the program of managing Sana'a Basin, which is currently being carried out by Food and Agriculture Organization with financing from Dutch Kingdom.
He stressed importance of defining the role of partners in this project, which will include also basin committees from other provinces.
