Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Qassem Buheibeh, inaugurated the second phase of the immunization campaign against coronavirus and administering the second dose of AstraZeneca vaccine to workers in the health sector, the elderly and those with chronic diseases, in 48 districts spread over 13 governorates.
After the Minister of Health and a number of health leaders received the second dose of the vaccine, Minister Buheibeh said in a statement to Saba, that the current second dose will be given to all those who took the first dose from April 20 to May 7, and the dose will also be administered to its entitled recipients The second is for those who are entitled to it when the second batch of the vaccine arrives - within a period of 8 to 12 weeks after they have taken the first dose.
The Minister of Health called on all those targeted in the three groups who took the first dose to receive the second dose to protect themselves and the community from the coronavirus epidemic.
