ADEN - SABA
Yemen's Information Minister has decried the international "disgraceful silence" over the Houthi terrorists' continuous crimes against civilians in the government stronghold of Marib.
In a statement to Saba following new Houthi ballistic missile attacks that killed and injured 13 civilians including children on Tuesday, Muammar al-Eryani said the international continued silence is "an extra evidence on its lenience and failure to live up to its responsibilities" and "a green light to the militia to kill and displace more Yemenis toward serving the Iranian agenda.
The minister warned of the "catastrophic risks facing 2,331,0000 IDPs who, living in Marib, form 60% of the overall number of IDPs in Yemen or 7.5% of the total Yemeni population."
The minister said "the systematic missile attacks are deliberately used by the Houthi militants to vent" their frustration at their failure to press forward on Marib despite waging a long and very fierce war.
Al-Eryani demanded the international community to "assume its responsibility to stop the Houthi daily war crimes against IDPs" and "put the militia back on the list of terrorist organizations."
