Yemeni-Saudi agreement signed to support Yemeni students on scholarships

Yemen and Saudi Arabia today signed the "Education for Development" agreement to support Yemeni scholarship students abroad.
Under the agreement signed by Yemen's ministers of Higher Education and International Cooperation and Saudi Arabia's Ambassador and General Supervisor of the Saudi Program for Development and Reconstruction, the Saudi program will provide financial aid to pay the monthly allowances for Yemeni students on scholarships abroad with a total of approximately $46 million, including financial aid for the third and fourth quarters of 2020 and the first and second quarters of 2021.
The agreement includes covering tuition fees for the academic year 2020/2021, for 796 male and female students, at an amount USD 2,495,294 for a full academic year.
