RIYADH-SABA
Vice President Ali Mohsen Saleh discussed Sunday with Ambassador of the European Union to Yemen Hans Grundberg latest developments and efforts for realizing permanent peace in Yemen.
Vice President praised international efforts and efforts of the EU for realizing peace in Yemen, ending Houthi militia's coup against the state and alleviating humanitarian crisis, reconfirming support of the legitimacy to these efforts and international initiatives led by Saudi recent initiative, which has been rejected by the militia.
While international efforts are being exerted for stopping the war and finding inclusive and permanent peaceful solution to the crisis, Houthi militia, with support and decisions from Iran, foils all these efforts, pursues violent approach and doubles its attacks on Yemeni people by ballistic rockets and drones, said Vice President.
He confirmed that the responsibility of the international community towards this reckless approach of the militia is big and is demanded today to exert its efforts on the militia to implement international resolutions and resort to peace.
For his part, the EU diplomat confirmed continuous support of the EU countries to UN efforts, support to peace choices and working for alleviating suffering of Yemeni people.
