Al-Eryani warns of legitimating the militias, recognizing armed violence to take over power
[25/06/2021 04:27]
ADEN-SABA
Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Muammer al-Eryani has warned of the lethal consequences of legalizing the militias, recognizing violence and military force as approach to assume power, gain politically, because this will prompt the terrorist organizations to try imposing a fait accompli, it is also an indication of the inability of the international community to implement the international resolutions and protect the international security and peace.

He said" the International leniency with Iran-backed Houthi militia, turning blind eye on its military escalation on Marib, its violations and crimes against the civilians, its attacks on the neighboring countries is a big mistake, anybody thinks that such leniency may push the militia to engage in the truce efforts and bring about peace in Yemen and the region is mistaken".

In a statement carried out by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) al-Eryani added" Houthi militia considers this international tolerance is a green light to go on its military escalation, killing the Yemenis, abuse human rights, undermine de-escalation efforts, widen war and humanitarian suffering".

The Minister called on the UN administration and international community to reconsider the way they deal with Houthi militia, mounting political and military pressure upon the militia to press for truce and peace.
