Yemen's Ambassador to Lebanon Abdullah al-Duais discussed Monday with the Regional Director of UNESCO Costanza Farina accomplishments of transitional education plan presented by Ministry of Education to the organization in 2019 for supporting the plan in coordination with a number of donor organizations.

Ambassador al-Duais confirmed significance of continuous coordination and mobilizing support to Yemen's education sector, praising the role of the former director of UNESCO Hamad al-Hamami.

He also reviewed latest developments in Yemen and UN efforts aiming at realizing peace, pointing out to Houthi militia's stubbornness and failing peace efforts, as well as the militia's continuous military escalation in Marib, which hosts more than million displaced people.

For her part, the regional director of UNESCO confirmed continuous support to Yemen's educational sector, pointing out to continuous coordination with concerned ministry and organizations to evaluate the past accomplishments of the plan.

The transitional education plan includes reconstructing the damaged schools, financing printing of school textbook in accordance with 2014 copies and providing financial bonuses to 166000 teachers across Yemen.
