Discussions held today here between the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and the Yemeni government. The deliberations focused on the projects portfolio of the IsDB in Yemen and future plans.
Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Wa'id Batheeb and Minister of Education Tariq al-Akbari represented the Yemeni government and the President of the IsDB Dr. Bander bin Hajjar represented the IsDB Group.
Al-Hajjar stated that the IsDB has funded projects in Yemen with over $1 billion and 300 million since it has started its operations in 1980, besides that it has provided 147 scholarships for the Yemeni students over the past time.
