The Parliament leadership highlighted the need for establishing a nation-wide national alignment to counter the challenges facing the country first and foremost the Houthi militia's coup d'état.

In a statement issued today following the conclusion of two day- sessions held on 30-31 May presided over by the Speaker of Parliament Sultan al-Barakani, the Parliament leadership has called on all Yemeni political parties, constituencies and national resistance fighters to join efforts and mobilize resources to fight the battle for eliminating Houthi militia's coup, reinstating the official state's institutions and realizing the national consensus.

The Parliament leadership has decided to resume the Parliament's session after Eid al-Adha holiday in coordination with the President of the Republic and the government.
