The Representative of the Russian President to the Middle East and North Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov held discussions today with the Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to Moscow Ahmed al-Woheishi, Saudi Ambassador Abdurhman al-Ahmed and the Deputy Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Hamad al-Habsi over the developments in Yemen and the peace efforts.
Al-Woheishi reiterated the Yemeni government's keenness on dealing constructively with every effort and proposal for realizing a comprehensive and sustainable peace based on the three terms of reference the GCC's Initiative, its executive mechanism, the outcomes of National Dialogue and the UNSCR 2216.
The Saudi Ambassador and Emirati Deputy Ambassador affirmed the principled position of the Saudi-led Coalition in support of the Yemeni people and the underway efforts to reach a comprehensive political solution.
Bogdanov confirmed Russia's support for the UN-led efforts to make peace and re-establish security and stability in Yemen.
