The Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Muammar Al-Eryani, discussed with the Saudi Minister of Tourism Ahmed bin Aqeel Al-Khatib in the Saudi capital today the prospects for rehabilitation and support for the tourism sector in Yemen.

Al-Eryani expressed thanks and appreciation to the Kingdom and its wise leadership represented by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and his trustworthy Crown Prince His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, for all the noble stances and efforts and appreciated the support and assistance the Kingdom provides to Yemen in various different fields, He affirmed that this support is an expression of the sincerity of the brotherhood feelings and will remain engraved in the hearts of Yemenis.

Al-Eryani pointed out the severe damage to the tourism sector in Yemen as a result of the war launched by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia, and that large numbers of employees who were working in this sector lost their jobs and incomes as a result.

Al-Eryani stressed the government’s need to rehabilitate and train Yemeni employees, starting from the ministry’s staff to workers in different sectors, and to qualify and train trainers.
