Prime Minister Ma'een Abdulmalik has followed up rescue and relief operations by local authority in the Valley of Hadhramout and emergency team over heavy rains in the valley and left human and material losses.
Prime minister was acquainted by Deputy Governor of Hadhramout for the Valley and Desert Affairs Isam bin Habrish and Director of Tarim District Khaled Howeidi on Sunday with initial report on human and material losses over heavy rains swept Tarim District, pointing out to swift measures taken by local authority for helping people.
Abdulmalik directed concerned authorities to work with local authority for providing help to the affected people, curing injured people and providing shelters to those whose houses have been damaged, as well as taking imminent solutions to open ways to the floods.
He stressed importance of exerting double rescue and relief efforts and opening roads and doing maintenance work to the damaged roads.
