The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Shaya Zindani met today, Friday, in Baghdad, with the Special Envoy of the Russian President for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov.

The telephone chat dealt with the ongoing international good offices aiming to push the peace mainly the efforts of the US Envoy to Yemen Timothy Lenderking.
Bin Mubarak voiced the Yemeni government's appreciation for the US government's continuous support for Yemen and the efforts have been made by the US Envoy Lenderking in order to re-establish peace in Yemen.
He reiterated the Yemeni government's support for the international efforts aiming to achieve the sustainable peace based on the three terms of reference.
Bin Mubarak blamed Houthi militia for blocking peace efforts and prolonging the Yemeni peoples' suffering.
The American Ambassador reaffirmed his country's support for the Yemeni legitimate government, Yemen's security, unity and stability.
He stated that the military escalation by Houthi militia on Marib threatens the ongoing peace efforts.
