Planning minister discusses with WB reopening organization's office in Aden

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Waid Batheeb discussed Wednesday with Executive Director of World Bank's Group Mirza Hassan through videoconferencing preparing inclusive recovery plan to the transitional capital of Aden and reopening the organization's office in Aden.
The meeting touched upon approving economic priorities for alleviating suffering of the people and agreed on coordination between the two parties for defining interventions priorities to be included in IDA20 package.
The two parties also discussed efforts of enabling national institutions, which are capable of carrying out current and future projects provided by the WB and other international organizations.
Batheeb confirmed significance of updating economic study on Aden and significant coordination between the government and the World Bank in making studies and analysis to avoid mistakes and conflicting information.
For his part, Hassan confirmed continuation of WB's support to developmental projects in Yemen and keenness of the organization on supporting government and private sectors.
