Taiz official: 456 confirmed covid-19 cases from 24 February - 4April

The Director of the Ministry of Public Health and Population office in Taiz said the confirmed infections with covid-19 in the central Yemeni city “from 24 February to 4 April amount to 456 cases” 57 of which resulted in deaths.
In a press conference, Dr. Rajeh al-Muleiki said, “The health sector in Taiz has not received any support from the UN organizations to counter the pandemic.”
He said that the local government provided YR 20 million support to expand the isolation center in the main Republican Hospital.
He said among the victims of this wave of coronavirus is three physicians.
In the first wave, 331 people were infected and 81 others were killed by the pandemic in three months, he said.
