Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Muammer al-Eryani held Iran-backed Houthi militia fully responsible for the war ongoing war and its subsequent political, economic, military and humanitarian consequences.
In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) he said" Houthi militia has taken control over the public treasury, state's revenues, denied government's employees their salaries for six years, disrupted private-own businesses, blocking relief and humanitarian aids delivery, snatching foods from the starving mouths, aren't these war crimes against humanity?".
The Minister went on saying " What about the strangling besiege Houthi militiamen have been imposing on the city and governorate of Taiz, the most populated region for six year, preventing its population from food and medicine supplies, shooting children, women, shelling residential areas with tanks' and artillery rounds, tearing the governorate apart all these are not humanitarian aspects need to be considered?"
Al-Iryani asked what about shelling the residential zones, civilians and the IDPs camps in Marib with ballistic missiles and drones where there 2231000 IDPs, up to 66% of the whole IDPs in Yemen? Is this a humanitarian aspect?
