Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Ahmed Bin Mubarak met today with the Ambassador of the Republic of France to the Republic of Yemen Marie- Jean SAFA.
They conferred over the developments in Yemen and national, regional and international reactions to the Saudi proposal to bring the war in Yemen to its end.
The conversation touched upon the Saudi proposition which warmly welcomed regionally and internationally.
Bin Mubarak voiced hope that a constructive response to the Saudi initiative may help to push the peace that is based on the three terms of reference including the GCC's Initiative, its executive mechanism, outcomes of the National Dialogue and UNSCR 2216.
He also pointed out to the ships that recently have docked in Hodeidah to unload fuels though Houthi militia failed to honor its obligations under Stockholm Agreement about using the returns of taxes on fuels to pay the civil service servants' salaries.
The Minister underscored the need to implement articles about security and military stipulated by Riyadh Agreement to maintain security and stability.
The French Ambassador stated that his country welcomed the Saudi initiative and it is, supporting the UN-led efforts to make peace, stands by Yemen's unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
