ADEN - SABA
The National Alliance for Yemeni Political Parties has welcomed Saudi initiative announced Monday for ending Yemen's crisis.
The initiative included complete ceasefire under the auspices of the UN, implementing Stockholm Agreement, opening Sana'a International Airport and commencing consultations of the political solution on the bases of the three agreed upon references; Gulf Initiative and its implementation mechanism, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and UN Resolution 2216.
In a release issued on Tuesday, the alliance confirmed its support to the position of the government of Yemen expressed in the release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which welcomed Saudi initiative in line with international efforts for ending the war and the humanitarian suffering of Yemeni people.
The alliance confirmed that the war, which entered its seven year, was the choice of Iran-backed Houthi militia, which is the party that rejects all calls and initiatives for peace.
The alliance added that Houthi militia shoulders full responsibility of the national split and threat to security and peace of the region, confirming that the peace will come only when Iran lifts its supporting hand to the militia.
