The state-run University of Taiz launched on Monday the 1st International Conference on Technology and Sciences, the first of its kind in Yemen.
The governor of Taiz, the Houthi militant-besieged city, formally opened the three-day event saying it “comes in coping with the world in the field of intellectual production and scientific revolution.”
Nabil Shamsan hailed the conference as a starting point in the University’s scientific research journey.
Fifteen universities from 14 different world countries are participating in the event.
