Prime Minister Salem Saleh bin Braik arrived Wednesday in the Emirati capital Abu Dhabi on an official visit in response to an invitation from the leadership of the sisterly United Arab Emirates.

Minister of Water and Environment Tawfeq al-Sharjabi participated Thursday in the meeting of Arab Countries Water Utilities Association (ACWUA) held through videoconferencing technology.
The meeting discussed the regular report of the association and reelecting and extending the current board council for another year due to difficulty of holding the meeting because of corona virus epidemic.
The meeting reviewed activities and programs implemented by the association in 2020 and discussed final accounting of the association for 2019-2020.
Minister al-Sharjabi, who is also Member of ACWUA's Board, confirmed significance of continuation of cooperation relations between Arab utilities, pointing out that the association plays significant role in field of improving Arab water utilities.
He stressed importance of finalizing signature of an agreement for qualifying Yemeni Water and Sanitation General Corporation's cadre in Aden. Training for qualifying the cadre will be implemented this year by the association in cooperation with Oxfam with German financing.
