Eryani calls for int’l intervention to stop Houthi compulsory recruitment of fighters
[05/03/2021 05:56]

ADEN - SABA
Yemen’s Minister of Information has called on the UN and the UN Special Envoy to act promptly to stop the Houthi militia’s compulsory recruitment of civilians as fighters against the government and overall oppositionists to the theocratic militia.

In a statement to Saba, Muammar al-Eryani, said the Houthi compulsory recruitments of men to the warfronts have led to the disappearance of males in entire villages in Sana’a district, so much that many families now have only women members and no men.

He said that the militia’s leaders continue to recruit tribesmen, children and marginalized Yemenis to deploy them in Marib as part of the militia’s ceaseless suicide mission in an attempt to take control of the city, while the militia’s warlords and leaders live in the palaces and villas of Sana’a accumulating extorted funds.
