ADEN - SABA
Yemen’s Prime Minister said the Houthi attacks on civilians and IDPs in Marib reveals “the criminal nature and terrorist tendencies of the militia.”
In the Cabinet’s regular meeting today, Maeen Abdulmalik said the militia’s “military escalation in Marib and constant attacks with ballistic missiles and Iranian armed drones against IDPs camps and civilian properties proves what the government always says: That this militia does not believe in peace.”
Abdulmalik saluted the efforts of the army and the tribes in repelling the Houthi suicide offensive in the outskirts of Marib, renewing the government’s appreciation of their sacrifices.
The Cabinet said the Houthi militia bears the full responsibility for the deteriorating humanitarian conditions in Marib and for refusing the political settlement.
The Cabinet demanded the UN and the whole international community to take a clear stance on the Houthi terrorist attacks against civilians and IDPs.
The Cabinet also appreciated the pledges made by donors to Yemen thanking Saudi Arabia and the rest of the donors, and regretting the shortfall in pledges to cover the humanitarian response plan for Yemen.
