The Supreme National Emergency Committee on Coronavirus discussed in a meeting in Aden today the ongoing preparations to confront a possible second wave of the pandemic.
Presiding over the meeting, Prime Minister Ameen Abdulmalik directed all the competent ministries and authorities, foremost of which is the Ministry of Public Health and Population, to prepare their plans to respond in the event of an outbreak of a second wave of covid-19 and to activate coordination with organizations and donor countries to continue strengthening the capabilities of the health sector.
He stressed the need to follow up on the arrival of the coronavirus vaccines to Yemen on the specified time, and giving priority to immunizing them the healthcare workers given that they are the first line of defense in the face of the epidemic.
