BEIRUIT-SABA
Yemen’s Ambassador to Beirut Abdullah Al-Doays has discussed with the Lebanese Minister of Foreign Affairs Charbel Wehbe the latest developments in Yemen.
Ambassador Al-Doays praised Lebanon's stances in support of the Yemeni government in international forums, reviewing the terrorist crimes committed by the Iranian-backed Houthi coup militia, the last of which was attacks on civilians and IDPs in Marib Governorate with ballistic missiles.
Al-Doays said, "Despite the Biden administration’s initiative to remove the Houthis from the terrorism list for humanitarian reasons, the militia responded to this initiative with any aggression against Marib, launching dozens of missiles and drones at residential neighborhoods and IDPs camps." Al-Doays expressed the Yemeni government's request to the friendly countries to condemn such brutal and aggressive terrorist acts.
For his part, the Lebanese minister affirmed the Lebanese government's support of Yemen and said, "We are with the Yemeni government and with the Yemeni people against attacking civilians and in favour of peace."
