The Minister of Interior, Maj. Gen. Ebrahim Haydan, discussed today, in the interim capital, Aden, with the United Nations Resident Coordinator David Gressly is the, and the Director of the Office of the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Yemen, Matthew Leslie, aspects of cooperation between the United Nations and the Ministry of Interior.
Minister Haydan affirmed the ministry’s keenness in facilitating the mission of the operating aid agencies, pointing to the urgent need to provide more aid to refugees and IDPs.
For his part, Gressly affirmed the interest of the Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs and the international community in supporting Yemen's efforts to overcome its severe humanitarian crisis, as well as their willingness to discuss ways to improve the humanitarian situation in Yemen.
