Partners of humanitarian work in Marib, which included UN, international, regional and local organizations, discussed Monday the dangerous humanitarian repercussions over continuous attacks against displaced people camps in Sirwah District by Houthi militia during the past days, forcing thousands of families for displacing to safe areas.
Presided over by Deputy Governor of Marib Abd-Rabbu Miftah, the meeting touched upon the humanitarian call directed by local authority and executive unit for managing displaced people camps for swift basic needs to displaced people and emergency interventions by humanitarian work partners, in addition to studying response plans towards potential repercussions and increasing numbers of displaced people.
The meeting confirmed death of a displaced person from Hodeida at al-Swabin camp and 1517 families have been forced to displace again amid catastrophic situations.
The meeting also confirmed repeated attack against al-Zour Hospital and ambulance cars of Yemeni Red Crescent, calling the international community and the UN to take serious and deterring position to stop Houthi militia's attacks against displaced people camps.
