Health minister discusses WFP's interventions

Minister of Public Health and Population Qasem Buhaibeh discussed Sunday with Director of World Food Program's Office in Aden Motenta Shimoka the program's interventions in the liberated provinces.

The meeting touched upon issues associated with coordination, defining suitable partner, coordination with health ministry and wages of workers in the framework of the program as well as signing new treaty for the year 2021.

Health minister stressed significance of coordination with different sectors of the ministry and its offices in provinces during field work, especially among displaced people, pointing out that the ministry will work on boosting partnership with international organizations to enable them doing their work as demanded.

For her part, Shimoka reviewed the program's interventions in health and food fields, pointing out that Aden's office covered 106 thousand children in 2020 and 104 from women needed nutrition, pointing out that the program targets 400 thousand from women and children in liberated provinces.

She thanked the ministry for cooperation, expressing aspirations for active partnership with the ministry.
