Bin Mubarak: We're concerned about US administration intention to reconsider the designation Houthis terrorist organization
[10/02/2021 01:19]
NEW YORK
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Ahmed Awadh bin Mubarak voiced the Yemeni government's concerns about the US administration tendency to reconsider the decision about designation the Houthis as a terrorist organization.

In an opinion piece published by the American Wall Street newspaper he said" It is very hard to understand how that will encourage the Houthis to opt for negotiation instead of terrorism or how reconsidering the decision will stop Iran to supply Houthi militia with sophisticated weapons or train the militiamen".

Bin Mubark stated that Yemen is seeking for good governance but that is requiring constant American pressure upon Houthis and their backers. He underlined Yemen's need for a realistic and coherent peace plan backed by the US full diplomacy power.

He stated that we do welcome the US Special Envoy to Yemen Timothy Lenderking and we're committed to work together with him for a political solution.
