Saudi Arabia has renewed its firm position for supporting an inclusive political solution to Yemen's crisis on the basis of the GCC Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and UN Resolution 2216.

According to Saudi News Agency, the Saudi Kingdom welcomed US confirmation on supporting diplomatic efforts for solving Yemen's crisis, including efforts of the UN envoy to Yemen, pointing out that the Kingdom made important steps for supporting steps of political approach and announcement of unilateral ceasefire in response to UN Secretary General's call.

The Kingdom looked forward to working with the administration of President Biden and his newly appointed envoy to Yemen, UN, countries of Arab Coalition and all Yemeni parties for reaching an inclusive political solution in Yemen on the bases of the GCC Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and UN Resolution 2216.

Saudi Arabia welcomed US President's address, which included commitment of the US on working with the Kingdom for defending its sovereignty and coordination and cooperation for dealing with challenges in the region and pushing forward peace process in the Middle East.
