The Japanese government has announced a new package of humanitarian aids for Yemen with total amount approximately $24.1 million. This amount from the supplementary budget of Japan of the fiscal year 2020. There is also food grant worth $20.5 million the Japanese government approved earlier.
The Japanese embassy in Yemen explained in press release learned by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the new package of aids include different humanitarian projects to be carried out by the UN's agencies and international organizations including: UNHCR, UNOPS,UNICEF, IFRC, OCHA, IOM, UNIDO, WHO, UN-HABITAT, UNIDP, FAO, ICRC. In addition to some non-governmental Japanese organizations.
