Governor of Abyan Abu Bakr Salem discussed Monday with Representative of Protection Bloc at Norway Council for Managing Displaced People's Camps Nihad Mubarak and Representatives of Abyan Youth preparations for field visit to evaluate the location named by the province for establishing a camp for displaced people from other provinces.
In the meeting attended by the Secretary General of Local Council Mahdi al-Hamid, the governor confirmed necessity of evaluating the location and defining places for building shelters to displaced people and providing them with public services as well as establishing small police station for providing security protection.
He directed concerned bodies to facilitate measures before the organization's team for accomplishing its relief work.
For her part, Mubarak confirmed their field visit will be for evaluation and defining shelter needs needed for installing the camp.
On the other hand, Governor of Abyan Salem discussed with representatives of the UN Office for Project Services or UNOPS preparations for commencing implementation of technical and engineering interventions needed for rehabilitating Zinjubar Public Hospital to start during a month.
Salem praised efforts of the organization for doing maintenance work and rehabilitating the hospital, which provides services to big number of locals and displaced people, confirming readiness of the province on providing necessary facilitations before the organization's interventions.
