Minister of Interior, Maj. Gen. Ibrahim Haydan held a virtual meeting today with the Legal Attaché of the US Embassy, who is also the Regional Director of the FBI, Richard Ryan.
They discussed the cooperation between the two countries in combating terrorism and organized crime, and what the attaché offers to Yemen in the field of training and qualification for the Yemeni Interior Ministry personnel in the fields of criminal evidence and combating terrorism, extremism and electronic crime.
Haydan referred to the ongoing investigations into the terrorist incident that targeted Aden International Airport during the return of the government, in which dozens of civilians were killed and wounded, and the continuing violence of the terrorist Houthi militia.
For his part, the American attache affirmed that cooperation between the two countries, especially at this difficult time that Yemen is going through, is at the core of the American approach to restore security, peace and progress in Yemen.
He also stressed his country's keenness to cooperate and provide technical support to the Yemeni security services, especially in the fields of research, forensic evidence, and combating terrorism and organized crime.
