Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Muamar al-Iryani has unearthed that the terrorist Houthi militia has breached an agreement with the United Nations on Safir Oil Tanker.

He told Saba in a statement on Thursday that Houthi militia relinquished an agreement it signed with the United Nations for allowing a UN technical team access to the tanker for evaluating its technical situation for doing maintenance work or draining it from crude oil, which is estimated more than one million barrel.

According the agreement, the process of evaluating the tanker and draining it has been defined early February.

Houthi militia's repeated breaches confirm that they use Safir tanker as a file for blackmailing the international community and for getting political gains, neglecting warnings of environmental, economic or humanitarian disasters if the tanker leaks, sinks or explodes, he said.
He called upon the international community led by member states in the Security Council to take clear position towards Houthi militia's evasions and to practice real pressures on the militia for avoiding looming disaster.
