The Council of Ministers devoted its session on Wednesday to explore necessary measures and resources to acheive the urgently needed economic recovery in 2021.
The meeting held here in the temporary capital Aden presided over by the Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik.
The economic recovery requirements, objectives and action –plans were elaborately discussed.
The ongoing efforts to prepare the government's blueprint and the progress realized in this regard were key point of the deliberations.
The Cabinet has authorized the Minister of Finance—in coordination with Ministers of Civil Service and Insurances, Planning and International Cooperation and Local Administration—to work out an expending monthly plan for the first half of this year, namely from January to June 2021.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates reported to the Cabinet about the Ministry's ongoing efforts and communications with the International Community (IC) to secure the supportive stances in support of the new government. He also briefed the Cabinet on the Ministry's efforts to secure the IC's support for the American administration designation Houthi militia terrorist organization.
The Minister of Planning and International Cooperation also detailed the Cabinet about the underway efforts by the Committee tasked with reducing the impact of the American administration designation Houthi militia terrorist organization on the humanitarian situation and humanitarian actions.
The Minister of Interior provided a detailed report about the security and military situations including the ongoing efforts to implement the military and security articles of Riyadh Agreement.
The Council of Ministers discussed the National Strategy for Care for Old People 2021-2027, provided by Minister of Social Affairs and Labor.
