Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Waed Bathib discussed on Wednesday with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Netherlands to the Republic of Yemen Peter-Derrek-Hof aspects of cooperation between the two countries.
The discussions which held via video conference dealt with developmental projects and humanitarian aids provided by the Netherlands government to Yemen.
The conversations also touched upon the US Department of State's designation of Houthi militia a terrorist organization and the measures to be taken by the Yemeni government to manage the implications of this decision to avert the negative impacts on the humanitarian and relief actions.
Dr. Bathib stated that the designation of Houthi militia a terrorist organization will effectively contribute to curb the Houthi militia's terrorist operations and prevent the militia's endeavors from blocking peace process efforts.
The Minister detailed the Dutch Ambassador on the economic hardships as a result of Houthi militia's coup and war, underscoring the need for donors' support to help the Yemeni government manage the serious economic challenges.
The Dutch diplomat condemned the terrorist attack targeted Aden airport, commending the government's steadfastness and insistence on operating in the temporary capital Aden.
He confirmed his government's support for the legitimate Yemeni government, the peace process and the efforts to achieve economic recovery.
