The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia underwrote Sunday a package of developmental projects in Yemen with total cost 303 million Saudi Rial (SR) in aid to Yemen.
The Saudi Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen, General Supervisor of the Saudi Program for Development and Reconstruction in Yemen (SDRY) Mohammed al-Jaber signed three contracts under which three major projects to be established in three Yemeni governorates in the fields of health, education and transport.
The three projects include constructing King Salman Medical and Educational City in al-Maharah governorate. The project's total cost is 213 million (SR), rehabilitation of Aden International Airport with total amount 54, 4 million (SR) and repairing al-Abr-Marib highway at 36 million (SR).
The Ministers of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Wa'ed Ba-Theap, Finance Salim bin Bureik, Public Health and Population Dr. Qasem Bahebeh, Transport Dr. Abdulsalm Hadi and Public Works and Highway Man'ea Ba-Yomein were in attendance upon signing the contracts.
