The Arab Parliament HAS welcomed the formation of the new government in Yemen headed by Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik to complete the implementation of the provisions of the Riyadh Agreement between the government and the Southern Transitional Council under the auspices of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Parliament's Speaker Adel Al-Asoomi stressed the importance of this pivotal and historic step in restoring security and stability in Yemen, unifying the Yemeni ranks, activating state institutions, and creating an atmosphere for the new government to implement development projects in the liberated areas, in a way that benefits the brotherly Yemeni people and alleviates their suffering.
He praised the sincere and appreciated efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to unify the ranks of the Yemenis and continue to support the efforts for a political solution to the crisis. At the same time, he praised the keenness of the Yemeni parties, represented by the Yemeni government and the Southern Transitional Council, to give priority to the national interest, to uphold the interest of the Yemeni people and to achieve their aspirations towards ending the protracted crisis in the country, in an effort to restore security, stability, and achieve the desired development.
