UNHCR's interventions in Marib discussed

Deputy Governor of Marib governorate Dr. Abd-Rabbu Meftah received on Monday the Protection official in the Office of the United Nations High Commissionaire for Refugees (UNHCR) in Yemen A'isha Sa'eed who is on a visit to Marib currently.

They discussed several topics pertaining to the UNHCR's interventions in the protection and relief for the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) and the refugees from the African Horn in the governorate.

The conversations dealt with the mechanism to deliver the cash assistance provided by the UNHCR for 19 thousand of the IDPs this year, the difficulties need to be overcome.

First payment of money aids distributed to the first targeted group last month, meanwhile the second group will start to receive their due payment from tomorrow December 15.

The shelter relief aids provided within the protection program for the IDPs were also touched upon, 10 trucks laden with shelter assistance reported to have arrived in the governorate.
