MASAM extracts 1,254 Houthi-laid landmines in fourth week of October

The Saudi mine action program MASAM extracted during the fourth week of October 1,254 Houthi-laid landmines, planted in different parts of Yemen. In a statement issued on Monday, MASAM said its experts have unearthed “nine anti-personnel landmines, 105 anti-tank mines and 1,139 UXOs and devised explosives.

” They were disguised in “different shapes and colors,” read the statement. A large number of Yemeni civilians including women and children continue to lose lives and limbs as a result of the ubiquitous Houthi mines.
