Yemen's Ambassador to Canada Jamal al-Sallal discussed Saturday via entrant with Deputy Head of Foreign Relations at Canadian Parliament Michael Chong parliamentarian relations and latest developments in Yemen.
Al-Sallal confirmed keenness of the government of Yemen on realizing permanent and inclusive peace, pointing out to Iranian interferences in Yemen and Iran's attempts to undermine the peaceful process.
He also touched upon the process of exchanging prisoners accomplished mid of this October and government's keenness on finding drastic solution to prisoners and detainees' issue, calling for continuous pressure on Houthi militia to solve Safir Oil Tanker issue to avoid environmental disaster on Yemen and the region if the tanker, which contains more than a million barrel of crude oil explodes.
For his part, the Canadian parliamentarian praised Yemeni wisdom represented in exchanging prisoners and kidnaped people, confirming necessity of finalizing this humanitarian process to release all the prisoners and the kidnapped.
He confirmed his country's support to the government of Yemen and efforts of the UN envoy for realizing peace and stability in Yemen, pointing out to finding quick solution to Safir tanker issue.
