Governor of Aden Ahmad Lamlas discussed Wednesday with the Regional Director of International Relief Committee Abdurrahman Ali humanitarian projects and programs carried out by the organization in Aden.

The governor was briefed by Ali challenges facing the organization's activities in the province.

Lamlas showed readiness of the local authority to alleviate challenges facing the organization to enable it carry out its humanitarian duties as demanded, stressing significance of organizing displacing process to the transitional capital through installing camps include big numbers of displaced people, who centered in the city and posed burden on services.

He praised the organization's humanitarian role and carrying out a number of projects and programs, most recent ones is the cash assistant program financed by the World Food Program and covers up to 41,000 families across Aden, hoping increasing this number in the forthcoming year.

For his part, the international official showed the mechanism through which beneficiaries are chosen and is carried out through coordination between the organization and the local authority.

The two parties agreed on boosting coordination between the local authority and the organization and liking its activities to the office of the ministry of planning and international cooperation.
