Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Qasem Buhybeh has called for establishing a hospital in Yemen that offers traditional Chinese medicine services alongside modern medical services.

Planning minister participates in meeting on food security

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Najeeb al-Aweg participated Friday in a roundtable held through video conference on boosting food security for 2020.
In his speech he delivered in the meeting, al-Aweg pointed out to challenges faced by Yemen over the continuous deteriorating situation of food security, noting that up to 80 percent of the people are estimated to suffer lack of food security due to reduction of food assistances, eruption of coronavirus pandemic, locusts and floods.
He pointed out that there are about 3.7 million displaced people over Houthi militia's triggered war.
He talked about efforts exerted by the government for facing those challenges through providing more food assistances, providing agricultural materials and establishing a fund for supporting fishery and agricultural wealth.
In the meeting participated by Yemen's ambassador to the United States and deputies of the ministry of planning, al-Aweg thanked the World Bank, FAO and Yemen's partners helping the country's food security.
