Minister of Information Mua'mar al-Iryani held Tuesday farewell meeting with French Ambassador to Yemen Christian Testu on ending diplomatic duties in Yemen.
In the meeting attended by Yemenis Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Shae' al-Zandani, al-Iryani granted Testu the ministry's medal honoring him for his unique efforts he exerted for supporting the internationally-recognized government.
Al-Iryani thanked the French ambassador for his efforts boosting relations between the two countries during his four-year term, hoping him success in his new duties.
He confirmed that the government and President Hadi appreciate the French government for its positions supporting Yemen for reaching peace based on the three references; the GCC Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and Security Council's Resolution 2216.
For his part, the French diplomat expressed pride for serving four year-term in Yemen, saying that he would transport his experiences to the new ambassador.
He renewed his country's support to the legitimacy under President Hadi, expressing hope for implementing Riyadh Agreement.
