Prime Minister Salem Saleh bin Braik arrived Wednesday in the Emirati capital Abu Dhabi on an official visit in response to an invitation from the leadership of the sisterly United Arab Emirates.

The Designated Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik received Tuesday the Norwegian Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Oyvind Stokke.
Yemeni-Norwegian bilateral ties was key focus of the conversations.
The discussions also touched upon the developments in Yemen including political and humanitarian situations as well as the ongoing UN-led efforts to make peace.
Dr. Ma'een highly appreciated Norwegian contribution to the relief and humanitarian actions in Yemen. He also cited the economic hardships and humanitarian situations created by Houthi militia's coup and war.
The Prime Minister reiterated the government's keenness to reach to fair and sustainable peace based on the three terms of reference agreed to. He also reinstated that the government is supporting the UN envoy's efforts to achieve peace.
"Unfortunately, Houthi militia's continuous escalation is blocking these efforts", said Ma'een.
The underway efforts to put Riyadh Agreement in place were also touched upon.
The Norwegian Ambassador reiterated his country's support for achieving peace in Yemen and it is committed to contribute to the relief and humanitarian actions in Yemen.
