The Government of Yemen has confirmed that Houthi militia's coup against the state caused horrible deterioration in all developmental and productive sectors, including education, health, agricultural and water and sanitation sectors.

The new challenge of corona pandemic has added additional burden to the developed countries and mainly to under developed countries, said Yemen's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Abdullah al-Sa'di in the Annual Meeting of the Least Developed Countries Group held here on Thursday.

He pointed out that in addition to fragile infrastructure and scarcity of resources, governments in the least developed countries face many challenges in providing healthcare and prevention means to their citizens and health cadre.

He added that increasing awareness on corona pandemic and propagating to health measures is very difficult matter under limited communications means and lack of access to data and information, noting that the nature of the pandemic, which exceeds geographical and political boundaries, requires from "all of us cooperation and sharing information and resources needed for facing it."
He called for helping the least developed countries for boosting their capabilities to fight the pandemic and easing measure for access to vaccinations and medicines.

He renewed that partnership with least developed countries does not serve only interests of these countries but also will contribute in implementing grand aims of the sustainable development helping in improving economies and policies of all humanity.
