MARIB-SABA
The agency responsible for management of IDPs camps in Marib has called for international humanitarian aid as the Houthi militia triggered clashes keep forcing hundreds of families to escape to the eastern province.
The Executive Unit for the Management of IDPs Camps in Marib said in a report on Friday that “2945 families have been forced to escape the scenes of clashes and indiscriminate Houthi shelling” in Beidha and Aljawf province to Marib over the past month.
The theocratic rebel fighters have been launching relentless attempts to march on government-held territories and the latest one has forced large number of families to move from Beidha, Aljawf and a Marib periphery, Madghal, to flee inward into the city of Marib to find safety.
The report said the families need “food, shelter aid, water, healthcare clinics, safe spaces for women and children and an income.”
