[06/09/2020 12:25]
RIYADH-SABA
Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad al-Hadhrami has said Houthi militia exploits Stockholm Agreement and the ceasefire in Hodeida as an impulse for military escalation in other areas.

We will not accept continuation of this matter, he confirmed.

In his meeting with German Charge d' Affairs Jan Krauszer in Yemen on Sunday, al-Hadhrami confirmed keenness of the government of Yemen to reach inclusive and sustainable peace in accordance with the agreed upon references.

He pointed out that Houthi militia stubbornness and its continuous war on Yemeni people are the real challenge hindering efforts of the UN envoy to Yemen.

He made it clear that the militia is working on undermining the UN mission supporting Hodeida agreement and commit many violations reported to the UN Secretary General as violations threatening the ceasefire.

He stressed making probe into the killing of colonel Assulaihi and relocating the mission's premises to a neutral place in Hodeida to be able to work freely and to ensure ending its term of mission successfully in accordance with Security Council Resolution 2452.

Foreign Minister warned of Houthi militia's continuous trick regarding Safir Oil Tanker Issue and setting impossible conditions before arrival of the UN technical team to the tanker.

For his part, the German diplomat renewed his country's position for supporting Yemen, its security, and unity and support to UN efforts for inclusive and sustainable peace in Yemen.
