The mayor of Sana’a city Abdulghani Jameel has condemned the continued silence of international human rights groups for Houthi crimes.
In a press conference held in Marib to release a report about the abuses of the Houthi militia against the people in Sana’a and other Yemeni cities, Jameel said, “The Houthis commit their most horrific crimes amidst silence of human rights groups and organizations.”
Jameel said, “Many of these organizations, which operate under the slogan of human rights protection, provide support to the Houthi militia on different pretexts.”
He said that the moans and pains of the victims will become “a curse that haunts those who collude with the criminal militia.”
The report unveiled in the conference showed that from August 2019 – August 2020 the radical theocratic Houthis committed 3320 violations against civilians in Sana’a including kidnapping and torturing inmates to death.
